Abstract
The paper analyses the judgement of the Supreme Court no. 16305/2013, which accepts the claim of the Union of Atheists, Agnostics and Rationalists to start negotiations for the stipulation of an agreement with Italian Republic. This pronouncement constitutes a controversial precedent in relations between the State and religious groups and a starting point for defining the concept of religious freedom
