The intervention, starting from the interreligious character of the Pope Francis’ Encyclical “Fratelli Tutti”, refers to and takes its cue from one of the first encounters that took place between the two monotheistic religions: that between Saint Francis and the caliph al-Malik al-Kamil. The contribute underlines the major points of contact between the Christian and Muslim world, both committed to the protection of religious freedom, the protection of minorities and the rights of women.
