Abstract
The essay addresses the complex and varied kinds of employment and contracted work at the Holy See, with reference to the repercussions it has in the Italian legal system. In particular, it examines the following cases of employment and contracted work carried out in the Vatican City State, in extraterritorial properties (art. 15 Lateran Treaty), and that in Italy, addressing also tax issues (art. 17 Lateran Treaty). Finally, the author focuses on the Social Security Convention between the Holy See and the Italian Republic.
