Abstract
The contribution examines the reform of the canonical matrimonial process carried out by the Motu Proprio Mitis Iudex Dominus Iesus and by the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia and underlines how the affirmation of a need to streamline the procedure is the sign of the need, corresponding to a changed cultural structure, to provide rapid and almost immediate responses to marriage crises.
