Abstract

The contribution aims to carry out an examination of the of the “legal creature” of D’Annunzio’s “company” in Fiume, that is Carnaro Charter of 1920, pointing out, in particular, the profiles of modernity represented by the full recognition of the right to religious freedom both in its individual and collective dimension, as well as the equal freedom of religious denominations in the public space, despite the confessional nature of the Albertine Statute that was in force in the Kingdom of Italy.
