ABSTRACT
The dimension of synodality, as underlined by the International Theological Com- mission in its 2018 document “Synodality in the Life and Mission of the Church”, does not constitute a novelty from the ecclesiological point of view. The synodal method, as a specific modus vivendi et operandi of a participatory and co-responsible Church, requires the activation of processes of consultation of the entire People of God and is based, as indicated by the norms of the Code, on the right-duty of each member of the faithful to contribute to the mission of the Church according to his or her specific vocation
